Motorola Rokr ZN50 and HTC Hero are two latest touchscreen handsets. Both possess simple as well as unconventional features that make it user friendly for every person, who wants to buy any of these. Some of the brands have elevated their reputation by launching exclusive handsets. These devices cater to the needs of individual in every sufficient manner. Earlier, they were used only as means of communication. But today, with the changing demands of individual, these handsets have broadened their relevance by appending extraordinary features. Now, computer, mobile phone, media device ( music player, camera, video camera, etc) they all have merged in to a single device.
Motorola Rokr ZN50 and HTC Hero are two recent instances of this merging. Motorola handset is introduced with 3.2 inches TFT resistive touchscreen that delivers resolution of 240 x 427 pixels whereas HTC device also comes with 3.2 inches TFT capacitative touchscreen. The display of HTC is associated with Sense UI, Multi-touch input method, Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, Handwriting recognition and Trackball.
The HTC handset has 5 MP camera with autofocus, which delivers 2592 x 1944 pixels. The picture quality of this gadget offers clear images in comparison to Rokr that is equipped with 3.15 MP camera and delivers resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Both the gadgets have built-in video camera along with, A-GPS support. Because of sleek appearance, it has dimension of 108.9 x 54 x 14.3 mm with weight of 143 g. In contrast, HTC device has dimension of 112 x 56.2 x 14.4 mm and it weighs 135 g.
Since, ZN50 is manufactured by motorola, the battery backup provided by this is not up to the mark. It just deliver standby backup time up to 200 h and talktime backup up to 4 h. On the other hand, HTC gives excellent battery backup with standby time up to 750 h and talktime up to 8 h. Motorokr is also featured with T-DMB2 TV tuner that lets you watch your favorite television program anywhere while you are traveling.
As, motorola is a brand famous for its music, this handset has built-in music player that completely supports MP3 / eAAC+ / WMA audio formatting files. It also consists of integrated FM Radio RDS. Similarly, the built-in music player with HTC supports audio files such as MP3 / AAC+ / WAV / WMA9 . But, there is no radio adorned with this. The crowd puller feature in HTC is that it has Android OS that categorized it as a smartphone.
Both these devices are speaker phones with a 3.5 mm audio jack that provides great flexibility. But, Motorola handset is composed of Built-in equalizer, SRS WOW HD technology. For high-speed data connection, it includes GPRS connection that gives the access speed of up to 32-48 kbps and EDGE connection with the speed of 236.8 kbps. Along with this, the 3G enabled gadget enables the user to browse Internet through HSPDA connection with a speed of up to 7.2 Mbps. On the other hand, HTC gadget facilitates you with GPRS and EDGE connectivity with same access speed. Along with this, it is also equipped with HUSPA connection at the speed of 2.0 Mbps.
On the basis of above comparison between Motorola Rokr ZN50 and HTC hero, it concludes that both are equally significant with the extraordinary features they deliver. They possess all the features that can easily attract people. Though, the individuals have right to choose whichever handset they find the best one.
